Sometimes life just doesn’t give you what you want, even though you spent countless nights praying for it. You hope, hope and hope, and you find out that the total opposite of what you hope for happens.

Sometimes, life just doesn’t give you what you want, even though you spent the past half year working your ass of for it. When the result’s not the one you want to hear, the blood, sweat and tears just don’t seem worth it.

Yeah, sometimes can be like that. It can feel unjust, unfair, cruel.

But Kevin, know this.

When you earnestly prayed for something you want, but didn’t get it, it’s because you don’t need it. Has the Lord almighty ever not looked out for you when you really needed him to?

When you worked your ass off for something but didn’t get it, it’s because you just aren’t ready for whatever that is. How can blood, sweat and tears be wasted if they only make you stronger, better, and wiser?

It may hurt, but let the pain temper you, and help you forge your destiny. A big, bright, awesome one.
