When one door closes, another opens.

I’ve been holding back writing this very first post for this new blog for quite some time already for a reason that is very familiar to me – because I feel that this blog isn’t put together nicely enough to show the world yet. The theme doesn’t look quite right, the header’s graphics are sketchy, the sidebar needs tweaking… the list just keeps going on and on and in the end, precious time is wasted and nothing gets done.

That’s just how it’s like when you procrastinate – you put something off thinking that it will be somehow better doing it sometime later in the future but you just end up wasting time.

Precious energy and time.

But now I don’t have any more time to waste.

For quite some time already I have been reading all kinds of self-improvement books and blogs, but one thing that dissapoints me is as much as I learn from such material, I have found it difficult to put it all into practice. It’s like reading those books gives me a temporary boost in my enthusiasm and motivation to improve myself, to pick up more positive habits, to change my life for the better, and the very next week I find myself back at square one.

At this point in my life I urgently need to become a better, stronger, smarter person so that I can pull myself out of this situation that I am currently in. Still without a permanent place to stay in university and with a rapidly dwindling bank balance, I have to do something serious to turn my life around. And that is where this blog comes into the picture.

This blog would serve as a platform for me to write about my musings on various issues on self improvement, namely in the categories of love, health and wealth, as well as to serve as a self-improvement journal of sorts.

Never in my life have I felt so pressed into the corner, but then again never in my life have I felt so motivated to turn my life around and make my dream life a reality. Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing, and I guess I just have to give this my best shot.

A new day, a new hope.

A new day, a new hope.

It’s about time.
